SCOTTSDALE, AZ, UNITED STATES, July 9th, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ --  On June 30, 2025, Para, Inc. (d/b/a GigSafe) and its CEO, David Pickerell responded to the lawsuit Openforce filed against them on May 14, in which Openforce alleges that GigSafe employees fraudulently misrepresented their identities and engaged in other accused misconduct in accessing Openforce’s proprietary and protected information.  The lawsuit alleges, among other things, that numerous Gigsafe employees fraudulently masqueraded as independent contractors for ten different Openforce customers.  In doing so, the lawsuit alleges, these GigSafe personnel accessed numerous categories of Openforce’s trade secret information, covering topics such as compliance, payment, and insurance.  In their filings responding to the lawsuit, GigSafe and Pickerell did not dispute the factual accuracy of certain of these allegations.  Instead, GigSafe and Pickerell responded to the lawsuit with technical legal arguments that Openforce failed to state a claim and that Openforce filed its lawsuit in the wrong jurisdiction.

Openforce is represented by David S. Almeling, Patrick V. Plassio, and Christopher B. Phillips of O’Melveny & Myers LLP and Cameron A. Fine and Madeline A. Cordray of DLA Piper LLP (US). The case has been filed in the District of Arizona, Case Number 2:25-cv-01645-DWL.
