PHOENIX, Ariz. – September 5, 2018 – Openforce®, provider of the most widely adopted platform for onboarding, settlement, compliance management and risk mitigation solutions for independent contractor workforces, today announced the appointment of Mike Fiorito to its Board of Directors.
Mike Fiorito, most recently CEO of Urban Express, now part of XPO Logistics, joins the Openforce Board of Directors.
Fiorito brings 35 years of direct experience in courier, trucking, assembly, warehousing and local expedited delivery to Openforce. Fiorito’s previous experience includes serving as CEO of Urban Express, now part of XPO Logistics, and as the former Head of North American Operations for Shutl (now part of eBay Now). As a member of Openforce’s board, Fiorito will help companies address the challenges facing expedited delivery. As a founder and manager of several successful delivery start-ups, Fiorito brings a unique perspective on Openforce’s customer needs and will be a significant resource to Openforce’s customers as they seek guidance to reduce cost and maximize efficiency of their operations.
“Transportation is booming, and companies are facing more challenges than just trying to keep trucks full. Owners spend increasing amounts of their time on business process needs and compliance regulations that can often feel like too much to handle,” said Fiorito, Openforce Board Member. “That’s where Openforce’s IC management platform creates significant efficiencies and cost savings. It’s time for companies to get out of the driver administration business and focus on real growth and profitability of their delivery services.”
“We are thrilled to add Mike to the Openforce team,” said Steven F. Kaplan, General Partner at Riverside Partners and Chairman of Openforce’s Board of Directors. “Mike is well known and respected throughout our customer base and will bring an even deeper customer perspective to the Openforce team. Mike brings decades of first-hand transportation operations experience that will enhance Openforce’s ability to provide customers with the solutions to improve independent contractor compliance, drive efficiency in operations and allow companies to focus on driving revenue in their business.”
