As an Openforce client, you know the importance of sending the right message at the right time, especially if you’re looking to update a process or make some other change. Steering independent contractors (ICs) toward the appropriate resources beforehand can significantly reduce stress (and phone calls) after the fact. That’s why our primary goal this month was to enhance your IC communication options.

Expanded capabilities for client-specific support messages

Openforce has always provided enhanced messaging capabilities, but creating custom messages whenever ICs need information is not always the most efficient way to get the word out.

In August, we adapted a proven tool to create a totally scalable direct messaging feature for clients. You can now target specific groups with messages, letting you stay one step ahead of the support calls. Just let us know your needs and we’ll work with you to meet your messaging requirements.

Improvements to the IC invoicing grid

To streamline your everyday work, we’ve also made some key improvements to the IC invoicing grid. As an admin, you can now see more than one contractor at a time (with no default grouping) so you can more efficiently manage settlements. This includes searching by reference ID, selecting from active reference IDs, and showing all contractor invoices with the selected reference ID.

Another update to the new invoicing grid includes ways to filter by date, which is one more step forward in optimizing our grids for improved speed and usability.

New fields, options and preferences

In addition to the updates above, there are two more adjustments to our platform that continue to expand usability and provide a more user-friendly experience.

  • Boosted IC invitation field options. When inviting ICs to the Openforce platform, you can now add fields to acquire more detailed information for address, date of birth and driver’s license.
  • Enhanced flexibility with the “Contract” button. If a subcontractor has no master contractor ID, the “Contract” button can now be now disabled to suit your enrollment grid workflows, ensuring no ICs end up “orphaned.”
