Bill Graves Board Member
Bill Graves served as President and CEO of the American Trucking Associations from 2003 until 2017. In that role, he led the Washington DC based national trade organization representing the policy and political interests of trucking companies at both the state and national level.
Prior to his time at ATA, Graves served as the 43rd Governor of Kansas. Elected in 1994 and re-elected in 1998, Graves is the longest-serving Republican Governor in state history. From 1987 to 1994 he served as the Kansas Secretary of State.
Graves is a member of the Board of Directors of US Alliance Insurance Corporation based in Topeka, KS. He recently retired from the board of International Speedway Corporation after its successful merger with NASCAR.
Graves is a graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University and did graduate studies at the University of Kansas.
Graves and his wife, Linda, currently divide time between their homes in McLean, VA, and Wellington, FL. Their daughter, Katie, resides in Raleigh, NC.
